nope i remember her very distinctly coming in from the left of the screen flying across the top of the Disney then doing a loop towards the screen then dotting the " i " in Disney before flying towards the screen and stopping in the right corner slightly stooped over and pointing her wand at the castle while stars sparkle at the end of the wand. this is a real memory i watched it so many times its ingrained in my memory and no one can convince me different! i didn't believe in this stuff but now i 100% do this is crazy it has blown my mind tbh 🙉 🙈 🙊

I know this is an old video, but I just found it. What if you expanded the carbon layer on the outside of the starlight with a torch before attempting a freeze? I think a lot of the thermal resistance is from the carbon foam that develops.

You've probably got better results in the meantime, but if you were too disappointed to do more testing, here are a couple of different approaches which may work a tad better: -Wood/powder coat - engrave the wood to the desired depth, pour the powder and remove the excess with sheet metal or plastic spatula, then either bake @180*C/10 min (or according to our powder specs) in the oven, or use heat gun with air on minimum. The result should be less bubbly than with laser engraving, although you can also get pretty good results with some more experimenting with engraving power/speed ratio. You can finish by sanding and clear coat spraying. -Wood/wood filler - if you do a good engraving job, and sand a bit deeper, with orbital sander or other machine, if you have one, you should get a decent result - Metal/powder coat - won't give any usable result with CO2 laser. - Metal/CRC Dry moly lube (or similar Molybdenum spray) will give solid results, see some videos here on YT. Given a choice, go for higher MoS2 (Molybdenum Disulfide) content. There are also specialized sprays, but more expensive, so check some more videos first...

Do you happen to know if the electronic viewfinder has it's own model number? I recently got one these (a NTSC BVP-300) on eBay but it's missing the viewfinder. I was able to get a replacement for my DXC-M3A camera.

Oh very nice! The label transfer is something I've not seen before, works well. I know it's a little late now, but you can get tiny lens for 5050 LED chips which are good for concentrating the output.

I'd imagine it doesn't detect your finger but something to do with light, but i'm just guessing lol.

With the powder coating you need to add more and then do a second pass it will fill in any missing areas.

hi have done up alot of betacam decks myself the numbers of them that can be saved is now getting low now alot of the decks i have came from the hire place's they did not have the room to keep them any more

If you cover the wood with masking tape, you won't have to sand after engraving. Just peel the tape and viola, a beautiful clean surface!

When I do stuff like this in my k40, I cover it with masking tape (aka painters tape) or sticky vinyl sold for craft cutters like cricut. You might need to slightly increase power to account for burning through the tape. When you're done with the tape, you peel the tape and have a beautiful surface left over. No cleaning other than pulling off the tape. I also like to use old vinyl sheets from my wife's cricut for this purpose. It's easier to use because the sheets come in 12" x 12" and the material is thicker so it often peels in a single sheet. On the other hand, burned vinyl smells a lot worse than burning paper tape.
